It’s out. SimpleSSM Mobile — the iPhone and iPad companion to SimpleSSM — is live on the App Store, today, right now.

If you’ve been following along – from SimpleSSM on the Go (https://simplessm.app/updates/simplessm-on-the-go), through the Tunnels detour, to the review submission (https://simplessm.app/updates/simplessm-mobile-is-in-review) – thank you for the patience. Apple approved version 1.0 this week, and I’m genuinely excited about what made it into a first release.

What’s in your pocket now

SimpleSSM Mobile is actual access to your infrastructure, not a dashboard. Everything runs over AWS Systems Manager – no VPN, no bastion hosts, no SSH keys, no open inbound ports:

  • A real terminal. Open a full terminal session on any instance, from your phone. There’s a custom keyboard accessory row for the keys terminals need, and it’s the same terminal engine the Mac app uses.
  • Your whole fleet. Browse instances across accounts and regions, with health indicators surfaced right in the list when AWS reports a failed check or a scheduled event.
  • Live CloudWatch metrics. CPU, memory, network, disk – in a swipeable chart carousel you can customize to show what you care about.
  • Run Command. Fire off shell commands without opening a terminal, with your saved snippets a tap away.
  • Instance controls. Start, stop, and reboot – with confirmations where they matter.
  • Made for iPad too. A proper sidebar layout with an instance inspector, not a stretched phone app.
  • Your credentials, protected. Access keys and AWS SSO are both supported, credentials never leave the device except to talk to AWS, and you can put the whole app behind Face ID.
